I chuckled a few times.

Kind of amusing. Only major qualm I had was the line stolen from The Simpsons. Pickle Moses saying "Let my pickles go", is a direct quote from The Simpsons, made in the same context. I don't exactly see where it even fits in, in this movie.

Artsy and Unique

I typically only write reviews to point out flaws, or express disdain, but I had to make an exception for this movie.

This is one of the best flash movies I've seen in a long time. Good pacing, very unique artwork and character design, interesting story and action. I simply have to give credit where it's due, and this movie is worth every bit of praise.

While some movies rely heavily on self-reference, you can tell that The Ballad of CrippleKane wasn't made solely for the author. It was made to be enjoyed by others, unlike animations like Gravitaxis, which are bogged down by half-baked ideas only included for the sake of the author.

Again, I have to say that I absolutely loved the character designs. They don't piggy-back off the success of anime, nor do they appear sloppy like many other flash movies. The artwork is crisp and pleasing.

Two words: Pacing Issues.

It moved exceptionally slowly, and the fact that 90% of the movie was slow motion didn't help the pacing.

On the plus side, it was an interesting (albeit confusing) idea to base a movie off of. It was certainly attention grabbing enough to keep me watching through to the end, or what I guess is the beginning.

Lastly, I'd advise you to use motion and shape tweens in moderation. I know it's a bit more work to animate frame by frame, but there are some points in the movie that just looked awkward because of the use of motion and shape tweens.

Oh, and the music fit well, and was pleasing to the ears.

Nice Message

Great message, (not that it hasn't been done before, but still, it was really well done) great music, pretty good animation. Not big on the whole anthro thing, but still, this wasn't overly "furry", if I may.

The one thing that hindered my enjoyment of this video is why the hedgehog was so much smaller than the cat and the rabbit!! Honestly, what's up with that!??!?!?

Could this be any more of an indication that everyone loves anything that Dan Paladin makes? I mean, seriously, this certainly doesnt deserve to be rated the best, and I certainly don't think that this should even be in the top 50. The graphics are pretty good, but theres much better out there, please everyone, stop sucking up.

Okay, first off, you're dealing with some pretty unstable stuff there. I mean, come on, if someone wants to kill themself, fuck 'em let them do it. Secondly, its like you assume everyone that reads this is suicidal. And what is this "World of Life"? Jesus, that doesnt even make sense. Of course its a world of life, what a shitty analogy. Also. try to have some decent animation in your flashes. Feel free to email me if you don't agree with what I've said.

This is the single greatest flash in the world. Thank you so very much for making this. At what point in time does a person say "Y'know what, fuck it, I'm going to become a clock."? I mean honestly, is this how anyone wants to be remembered? They conform to this poor style of "animation" and submit dozens of aweful flashes daily.

Now this honestly wasn't that good, but the message was loud and clear. And the presentation, with a couple flaws, like the poor animation, was wonderful. It was hillarious, and unbelievably true. Thank God this made it on the site.
